Frequently Asked Questions
-
I understand that reaching out can feel overwhelming. The first step is scheduling a complimentary 15-minute discovery call. This gives us a chance to talk about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your initial nutrition session.

Hopeful Horizons Nutrition is an out-of-network practice and does not bill insurance directly. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Not working directly with insurance allows me to focus on individualized care without insurance limitations influencing treatment. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots.
-
My rates are $225 for an initial 90-minute assessment and $175 for 50-minute follow-up sessions. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on need and availability. If cost is a barrier, please feel free to reach out so we can discuss options.

Every session is individualized based on your needs and goals. Sessions may include discussing food intake, eating disorder thoughts or behaviors, body image concerns, meal planning, nutrition education, and navigating confusing nutrition information. Together, we'll identify realistic goals and next steps that feel supportive and manageable. You're always welcome to bring topics you'd like to discuss, and if you're not sure where to start, I'm happy to help guide the conversation.

No. You do not need a diagnosis to seek support. Many people wonder whether their struggles are “serious enough” or whether they need a formal diagnosis before reaching out. If food, eating, body image, or nutrition concerns are impacting your life, you deserve support. I’d be happy to connect with you to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
-
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Many clients begin with weekly sessions for more consistent support, while others may meet biweekly or less frequently over time. We will work together to determine a schedule that feels supportive and sustainable.

Yes, when appropriate and with your permission, I collaborate with therapists, physicians, psychiatrists, and other members of your care team to help support coordinated care.
